DRoots Development for Level 2 & 3. Date – 26th November 2011 CANCELLED

For only BSL NQV Level 2 & 3 group category. The workshops will consists one of many Theatre techniques work to assist NQV students’ British Sign Language abilities are channelled and natured in the right direction, there will be a brief introduction of Sign Theatre in this module. An important reminder for anyone this is not teaching BSL module, we wish to clarify this course is for someone who wish to improve and enhance their signing skills during the course or before examination.

DRoots Development for Theatre Professionals & Workshop Facilitators. Date 2012

For only Deaf actors and workshop facilitators. The workshop will consists of general training in Theatre as acting methods, Sign Theatre (translation work), Visual Vernacular methods and other techniques training such as Movements, Dance and Physical Theatre. This also includes another category for training workshop facilitators how to led workshop more efficient way.

DRoots Development for Theatre Interpreters & Professional Forum. Date 2012

The workshop will consists of translation work to ensure Theatre interpreter are also trained one of the elements of Sign Theatre module ‘Translating Play text to Voice Gloss’ & ‘Translation poetry text’ and introduction the principles of Sign Theatre – relationship to BSL, SSE and Theatre language. This also includes another category for interpreters’ professional forum workshop for non-theatre interpreters’ part of away day training.

DRoots Development for Darts. Date 2012

These workshops will teaches variety of beginner course for Deaf theatre acting course, writers course and story telling techniques which consist of drama games and exercise. We will provide other option areas such as Art (sculpture & nature art) Dance (Movement & choreographing) Media (Storytelling & improvisation action). This workshop will be available to Deaf, hearing, and mixed groups from age 18 onwards.

DRoots Development for BigY. Date TBA

For only 13 – 18 ages group. There is still lack of a provision for deaf youth that are still very much in apparent. DRoots are committed to play a powerful role in promoting course & workshops to ensure future Deaf youth generation have a prospect for arts opportunities insights through drama / theatre, dance / choreograph, storytelling, writing and excellent art.

See below for breakdown fee will cost you under DRoots Development course & workshop category that will cover throughout the year. We are happy to support you if you cannot afford the course fees. There is several of funding bodies who will able to give you grant to cover the course expenses.
